Spruce Bog Trail

The Spruce Bog Boardwalk is an approximate 1.5km long (wheel chair accessible) loop and is located at Km 42 of the Hwy 60 corridor. It takes you on a leisurely walk through two of Algonquin Parks bog's, the Sunday Creek Bog and a small kettle bog. It's an easy, flat hike with some nice scenery. The Spruce Bog Boardwalk trail guide (available at the East and West gate as well as the trail entrance) talks about the history and ecology of the spruce bogs.

We give this trail 4 stars because of its interesting booklet and because it showcases a unique aspect of Algonquin Park.
