Great Grey Owl in Algonquin

The great grey Owl is not the largest species of Owl in Canada but it is one of the most majestic. Found in Algonquin Park among other places, the great grey Owl mainly eats Mice and insects because there not strong enough kill water fowl or other small animals like cats. These beautiful and majestic animals are awesome to watch because they are naturally curious and adventurous creatures. These owls are generally quiet birds. (1) “When approached, some will give a low, rising "woo WOO WOO". In the spring they hoot to attract a mate.
