Fox's of Algonquin

Foxes live in and around Algonquin Park as well as many other parts of the world. Around Algonquin they can be found in the forests, open fields and even in the towns occasionally. There brave and smart animals and are particularly difficult to get great photos of. (Special thanks to Jessica McComb for providing these photos)

Foxes hunt alone and mostly eat small game but also dine on fruits, vegetables and on occasion garbage. Foxes mate in the winter and can (small chance) carry rabies. So keep your distance and enjoy watching the playful pups if you have an opportunity to see them!
